MOXIE: LEE BAE AND USHIO SHINOHARA

July - October, 2012

Moxie: Ushio Shinohara and Lee Bae

THE JEROME A. COHEN AND JOAN LEBOLD COHEN ART CENTER

BEACON, NEW YORK

Moxie: Ushio Shinohara and Lee Bae was the inaugural exhibition in the Jerome A. Cohen and Joan Lebold Cohen Art Center at Kunsthalle Beacon (KuBe).

The exhibition was curated by Isaac Aden and is the first of many to be in the art center. It combined the action painting of Japanese artist Ushio Shinohara, and the sculpture work of Korean artist Lee Bae. Each artist expresses a strong force of character and nerve in their work, thus requiring the collective title, Moxie.
